Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club, located in the center of the San Francisco Bay Area, was in need of a renovation after 32 years of play and an eight year drought.  In 1992 the course was redesigned adding a new irrigation system and renovating the entire golf course.  The concept of the redesign was to create a more modern look while incorporating strategic design principles.  This was accomplished by creating decked fairways, slightly flashed bunkers, grass swales, higher mounding and multiple tee boxes.  Ginkel Design continues to provided design services to Sharon Heights.
